My Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods Recommendations and Wish-Lists Part II

My Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods Recommendations and Wish-Lists Part II

Welcome to the second edition of my Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba goods — where I’ll share my pre-orders, wish list and recommended goods. Hope you find it useful for your collection journey!

DECEMBER 2021 UPDATE: Check out my updated post on my recommendations on Kimetsu no Yaiba goods : Demon Slayer Gift Guide: Best things to buy for a Kimetsu no Yaiba Fan!

Hello! A very Happy New Year to everyone. I hope the start of 2020 has been a good one for you so far and that it will continue to be better and bigger as the year progresses. ٩(◕‿◕。)۶

Kimetsu no Yaiba 2020 Happy New Year Digital Card
Isn’t the New Year digital card from the Demon Slayer production team just too cute for words?

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba certainly has exploded in popularity worldwide (and rightly so) since I first shared about my Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba x Ufotable Cafe experience back in May 2019. (Read about it here. I’ve also included information about the new Demon Slayer Cafe in 2020.)

Not surprisingly then, with this immense popularity comes a massive wave of goods and merchandises that we can grab our hands on. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

However, the sheer amount and pace of all these new goods  can be a tad overwhelming (×_×) and hard to keep up at times, so here at Geeky Travels and Fandoms, I’ll be sharing what are some of my new pre-orders, wish-list and recommended goods to get!

Before I delve into the post proper, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported, commented and visited Geeky Travels and Fandoms in 2019. ٩(◕‿◕。)۶ A pretty insane number of you read my Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba posts and other geeky escapades last year and as a result, we’ve managed to achieve over 10,000 views and counting! It might be a small number compared to other websites, but it is a huge encouragement to me… so Thank You! *kisses*

My Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods

Remember my pre-orders and wish-list in my earlier post: My Demon Slayer Goods Recommendations and Wish-Lists? Well, they came! ^ ^

Look at how cute Sabito & Giyu are! 🙂 I love the pin too!

I’ve also managed to buy Tanjiro’s earrings by MUSE Taiwan (courtesy of my Taiwan friend). It’s not with me yet so I’ll update with a photo of the actual earrings once I get them. MUSE was actually selling them at their booth at AFA 2019, did any of you buy it from there? (Because my friend had bought the earrings for me, I didn’t buy another set)

I’ve shared this on my Instagram previously but it’s too cute not to post here again hehehe. I caught the Lapras plushie just before I visited the Demon Slayer Cafe in Osaka last year. ^ ^

When Tanjiro met Lapras…

As I’ve shared about my other Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba goods in an earlier post , I won’t be further adding to the length of this super long post by showcasing them here. ^ ^

A) Plushies

Kimetsu no Yaiba Chibi Plushies 「鬼滅の刃 Chibi ぬいぐるみシリーズ」

Giyu Tomioka Chibi Plushie

Ever since I won the super cute Tanjiro plushie from the Kuji in 2019, I had been looking to add more Kimetsu no Yaiba plushies to join Tanjiro. There have certainly been quite a few different types of plushie being made but this sitting plushie series from Bandai matches my Tanjiro sitting Kuji plushie, so this plushie it will be. Doesn’t Giyu look cute? This is already released so grab them before it’s sold out! Tanjiro’s and Zenitsu’s plushies are out too.  I will update with an actual photo once I received him. ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶

Apart from Giyu, I will definitely be placing my pre-orders for Rengoku 煉獄杏寿郎 and Uzui Tengen 宇髄天元 when they are available for pre-ordering because… look at the production photos!!

Here’s a look at the other chibi plushies in the same series from Bandai:

Hopefully if the plushies sells well, we might get a Sabito chibi pushie of the series (which I will buy without hesitation). I’m honestly really tempted to get all the pillars… but well let’s see what my wallet has to say about that LOL

You can buy Giyu’s plushie from the following online shops/platform – Click on the respective images below.

B) Blanket

Lawson | Loppi | HMV&BOOKS Online X Exclusive Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Blanket

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Blanket _【ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】
Image from 鬼滅の刃 x【ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】official website

So, for those who might not know, Lawson, Loppi and HMV & Books Online 【ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】in Japan has recently launched an exclusive collaboration goods campaign with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and the goods are so ADORABLE!!!!! (See the “Demon Slayer 【ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】 Collaboration Goods” section for more details on this collaboration and where overseas fans like me and you can buy these goods.)

However, what stole my heart immediately was the blanket. Look at how cute it is! They even provide a bag to store the blanket in! I have a few such similar blankets from other anime/manga and the quality is almost always pretty good, so I’m pretty confident this one should be no different as well. I mean, with a price tag of over 4000 yen, the quality better be good ^ ^

According to the makers’ information, the size of the blanket is about 650 x 900mm and the cloth bag is about 260mm x 190mm. (Do note that this is an estimate and that the actual product might have slight variances) Both the Blanket and the Cloth Bag is made of Polyester

Great news for those that are unable to go Japan to buy these! You can pre-order these Kimetsu no Yaiba goods on HMV’s website and they deliver OVERSEAS! Yup, you don’t need to use a forwarder, so you’ll save some fees. They only send via EMS though.

Here’s a screenshot of the Blanket product page on HMV’s website:

Hurry! Pre-Order for the blanket ends on 10 February 2020 so buy them before it’s gone. Take note that each account can only buy 2 of these blankets. Update: Pre-orders closed early because the limited quantities has sold out. I will update again if HMV opens up new pre-orders.

For the full shipping cost details, refer to the HMV Shipping website.   (Google Translate to English works well. )

C) Acrylic Stands (Key Chains)

ANIMATE POINTS REDEMPTION – Acrylic Stands

Image from Animate Japan

Technically, this isn’t an item that can be purchased but rather, redeemed with your Animate points.  You can redeem each of the acrylic stands for 500 points. Take note of the months for redemption for the character that you like and do it as quickly as you can because I believe they should be snapped up pretty fast! Hopefully, I’ll get to redeem some of the stands with my points.

Speaking of which, do apply for an Animate Card (if you are in Japan) and/or get a Club Animate online account. Trust me, these two items will be extremely helpful in your anime/manga escapades. ٩(◕‿◕。)۶ I’ve done up a guide about Animate Cafes that you might be interested to check out too.

My Demon Slayer Wish-List

A) Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Multi-Cream 鬼滅の刃 マルチクリーム

Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods_ Multi-Cream
Image from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s official goods twitter account

The past few years has seen a lot of anime/manga series started coming out with cosmetics and skincare products. I think they have finally realized the spending power of us fangirls. ^ ^ Looks like Demon Slayer is no exception to the rule. (I’ve actually bought the hand-cream for My Hero Academia in my 2019 trip to Tokyo.)

Although let’s just call a spade a spade, shall we? Most of us are really buying for the case, right? <( ̄︶ ̄)>  The cream is just an added bonus and a good excuse to buy them.

Do note that although it’s called a cream, it’s actually more gel-like in texture and a transparent color. I’ve used similar multi-cream (by Disney) and it’s pretty good. You can use them on your face and your hair.

The multi-cream set is scheduled to be released in March 2020 and pre-orders are ongoing. They are sold in sets of 3, and each set costs 3630 yen (before tax). For more information on the multi-creams, please refer to this excellent write-up with photos by Famitsu.

Some shops that you can pre-order these multi-creams from the Bandai Cosmetic Brand – CreerBeaute (クレアボーテ):

Animate online: https://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=1721185

Premium Bandai Website: https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000140384  (Pre-orders have closed)

Did any of you order the multi-creams and/or have used some before? Let me know in the comments! I hope I’ll be able to find some in my next trip to Japan in 2020.

B) Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Spectacles 【鬼滅の刃×メガネ】

Image from 執事眼鏡 eyemirror’s twitter account

Yes, you read that right. There’s going to be … *wait for it*…  Demon Slayer Spectacles!!

There isn’t much details on this collaboration yet. However, I will post an update in this post when more information is out. In the meantime, you can also follow the maker 執事眼鏡 eyemirror’s official twitter account for the latest updates.

Demon Slayer 【ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】 Collaboration Goods

As mentioned earlier, OMG! ヽ(°〇°)ノ The character designs for the collaboration goods in this campaign are really, really, cute.  You can find these at selected Lawson Stores across Japan. The entire campaign runs till early February 2020 and while stock lasts. Here’s a peek at what’s available:

ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】x Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods Campaign
Image from ローソン・Loppi・HMV限定】x Demon Slayer Campaign official website

AREN’T THEY ADORABLE?! Surprisingly, the Pillars all looked pretty good with the Lawson Mascot. ^ ^  For the full campaign website, visit: https://www.lawson.co.jp/lab/campaign/kimetsu/

HOW TO BUY/WHERE TO BUY?

For those in Japan:

A) Just head to the selected Lawson Stores to buy the goods. Do note that its while stocks last and run tills early February 2020.

The stores locations are indicated in the official collaboration campaign website. Or you can just pop into all the Lawson stores in your neighborhood to try your luck.

B) Pre-order the goods via the Loppi machine and/or HMV&BOOKS online website.  Domestic shipping cost for the HMV option is 220 yen with every shipping order.

I recommend that you follow Lawson’s official twitter account for updates (such as inventory status ) on the goods.

For overseas fans:

  1. Order from HMV&BOOKS online

As with the blanket, you can get your hands on the full collaboration goods via HMV&BOOKS online (HMV). They deliver OVERSEAS via EMS to most countries. You can refer to the list of countries they deliver to and the estimated shipping cost here.

For easy reference, here’s the full list of exclusive goods you can buy on HMV website for this campaign and the respective product page URLs: https://www.hmv.co.jp/news/article/1911271012/

Do take note of the different cut-off preorder dates for the different goods. They are all clearly written in the goods page in the above webpage.

An added bonus for those planning to order from HMV’s website are the【Loppi・HMV限定】Exclusive Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Steam Cream (moisturizing cream). Note this is different from the multi-cream featured in my wish-list section.

So, what will you be ordering from this campaign? I am so tempted by the can badges and keychains. Alas! I have too many of these (from other series) that I just have to refrain. (>﹏<) Having the blanket is good enough for me!

Recommended Goods to Buy!

A) Nendoroids

Tanjirou & Nezuko Nendoroids
*Image from Good Smile Company website

If you missed out on the pre-orders of the super adorable Tanjiro and Nezuko nendoroids last year, here’s some great news for you!

Good Smile Company (GSC) and its retailers have opened up another round of pre-orders so do quickly order them before the pre-order dates closes! Pre-orders closes on 27 February 2020.

I have previously written at length about WHY you should buy these super cute nendoroids and WHERE to buy them, so I won’t go into details in this post. Refer to Demon Slayer Nendoroids -Where to pre-order or buy?  and My Demon Slayer Goods Recommendations and Wish-Lists for more information.

I can’t wait for mine to arrive! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶

B) G.E.M Series Palm Size Figures G.E.M.シリーズ 鬼滅の刃 てのひら

G.E.M.シリーズ 鬼滅の刃 てのひら

How adorable are these?!!! 10 Billion Percent~ (hehe… anyone caught the reference?)

If you missed the pre-order for Nezuko-chan 禰豆子ちゃん the first-time round, and was lamenting about it… well, fret no further because another round of pre-orders has been opened! This second pre-order will see the figurine released in June 2020. There are many unboxing videos for Nezuko online, so just google one and you can see how adorable they are.

I’m recommending AmiAmi for Inosuke 伊之助くん ‘s palm size figure because they have an exclusive bonus. You’ll get an exclusive acrylic key chain if you buy the AmiAmi bonus version.

AMAZON (USA)

For fans in the USA and Europe, you can consider buying from AMAZON as well since it is available on the platform. You should factor in the shipping costs and see which shop/platform is a better option for you.

C) Boxer Briefs Giyu Tomioka 鬼滅の刃ボクサーパンツ冨岡義勇

Yup, presenting Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Boxer Briefs! (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) To be honest, I’ve always wondered who the target audience of this apparel is. While the obvious answer would be the male fans (since it’s a boxer brief), I realize that actually quite a lot of female fans buy it as well.

Previously, I’ve only seen two of my other favorite anime that has boxer briefs. Those being Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Yowamushi Pedal. And I especially love how intricate and strategic the design of Yowamushi Pedal’s is. ^ ^

WHERE TO BUY?

MOVIC.JP
Currently, they have Giyu, Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu’s designs. For overseas fans, you will need a forwarder though. Amiami and Hobby Search’s pre-orders have closed.

D) Banpresto Kimetsu No Yaiba Prize Figure

E’nuff said. These Banpresto (Crane Game Prizes) looks really decent for its price point, so if you would like to collect Demon Slayer figurines and not break your bank budget, you can consider these. Yes, I know that these figurines was released in 2019, but I can’t have a list of recommended Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba goods without including them, right?

WHERE TO BUY?

AMIAMI
(**Only for North, Central and South America fans) – Click on the respective buttons below.

Interestingly, I realized that AmiAmi nowadays sells these Banpresto crane game prize figurines to the North, Central and South America fans. Asia fans are unable to buy from them as they are designated as crane game prizes. A workaround is that your local anime retailer shops likely will bring them in. Or you know, try to catch it via the crane game machines.

Naturally, as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko and Giyu came out in 2019, AmiAmi has closed orders but you might still find some in Amazon. If you are keen to buy the first few figurines in the series (2019), Amazon could be an option for you. Just take note that prices might be on a high side on Amazon for the 2019 figures now.

AMAZON – Click on the respective images to get to the product page

As mentioned, due to the fact that the 2019 figurines were out quite some time ago, prices on Amazon are naturally on the higher side. However, if the prices are too crazy, please think twice about buying it. I actually saw some listings over USD$100 for Tanjiro (another 2019 design not pictured above) in the Banpresto Crane Game Prize Figure series and it is insane. Although there are indeed figurines (from other makers and other Banpresto lines) which averages over USD$100, the crane game prizes generally are not in that price range.

E) Chimi Mega Buddy Series! Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado & Nezuko Nakayoshi Kyoudai Set ちみメガ バディシリーズ! 鬼滅の刃 竈門炭治郎&禰豆子 なかよし兄弟セット

Screenshot from AmiAmi‘s website

These chibi figurines from Megahouse would make a great addition to your Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collection!

WHERE TO BUY?

F) Kimetsu no Yaiba IC Card Case 鬼滅の刃 ICカードケース

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Goods_IC Pass Case
Image from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s official goods twitter account

I’m recommending these card cases because the designs look good and is subtle and stylish enough for those in the workforce (especially the office folks) to use on a daily basis. I’ve been using such card cases (MHA and YYH) for my own transportation cards and contact cards and I really like using them. It’s also a good, practical and useful gift.
