Demon Slayer Gift Guide: Best things to buy for a Kimetsu no Yaiba Fan!
Looking to buy a Demon Slayer gift for a special someone? Or are you planning to indulge in your love for all things Kimetsu no Yaiba by buying some goods? Check out the G.T.F guide on some of the merchandises you can buy for a Demon Slayer fan (you!).
It’s been almost 3 years since we first saw the debut of the animated Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) gracing our screens in 2019, followed by the animated movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train 「鬼滅の刃」 無限列車編 that broke so many box-office records worldwide.
Even though the manga has officially ended in Japan, the anime (movie) adaptations still have tons to cover, so expect the global wave of Demon Slayer to continue its slaying power. As you are reading this now (Dec 2021), the next season is currently on air!
Back in 2019, I posted about my wish lists for Kimetsu no Yaiba and what goods I would like to buy. However, the list has more or less became obsolete, since most of the goods are now sold-out or not readily available anymore.
During this time, the goods and merchandises for Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) has exploded exponentially, so it’s time to update the list of recommended items to buy! ^ ^
With the holiday season coming up, what better time to buy some Demon Slayer stuff for your family and/or loved ones who are fans of the series? Plus it’s also a great opportunity to reward yourself.
After-all, Self-appreciation and Self-care is important too. (excuses)
So check out my holiday gift guide on what to buy for a Demon Slayer Fan AND where to buy them? ^ ^

Demon Slayer Gift: Figures
One of the best gifts you can get for a fan (and yourself!) is a figurine of your fav character! I mean having a physical replica of your fav character which you can look at every day and/or play with? It really helps to brighten your days.
However, with figures, the choices now are pretty much mind-boggling, especially with so many different lines and companies making figures nowadays. Prices and Accessibility also varies greatly.
Depending on your budget, here are some different types of figures you can buy. Although if you are a working adult, you could, like the saying goes: 只有小孩子要作选择,大人全部都要!Only kids make choices, Adults just buy all. LOL Just kidding.
Do always spend within your means because there will always be other stuff to buy in the future.
Nendoroid
Nendoroids are really a great gift to any anime/manga fan. Trust me, whoever you are planning to give them to, they will love you for it!
Price Range: 5000 yen to 8000 yen (before tax)
With the immense global popularity of Demon Slayer worldwide, it was inevitable that the series would receive the Nendoroid treatment. Just look at how cute the Demon Slayer nendoroids are? How can anyone resist? There’s a reason why Tanjiro was reprinted/re-released 3 times in the past 2 years because demand was so high for him.
Here are some of the Demon Slayer nendoroids that have been released or announced as of December 2021:
As you can see, nendoroids can be rather pricey (especially after adding shipping costs) so these figurines don’t come cheap, especially for us overseas fans! Plus, nendoroids are a rather addictive, you don’t really just stop at one (I have over 50), so do watch your budgets! ^ ^
As of Dec 2021, there are 9 Demon Slayers nendoroids announced and you can be sure there will be many more characters receiving the nendoroid treatment as well.
What are Nendoroids?
Nendoroid (ねんどろいど or 粘土人) are chibi-fied figurines of anime/manga/game characters produced by Good Smile Company (GSC). They are about 10 cm in height and generally can fit in the palm of your hands.
Each nendoroid comes with optional parts – such as interchangeable face parts (for different expressions), body parts (for different fixed poses) and/or weapons/effects.
If you are new to Nendoroids, or simply want to find out what’s the fuss about them, check out my extensive guides: Nendoroids: A Guide on Buying Nendoroids and Nendoroid Guide: The Readers’ Questions Edition
Where to buy them?
Official Goodsmile Online Shop
- OUTSIDE OF JAPAN: The Official Global Shop: https://goodsmileshop.com/en/
- USA folks (North America & Canada), please check out the NEW USA store: https://www.goodsmileus.com
- China folks, I believe there are several partner online platforms for you. Check out: https://www.goodsmile-sh.info/ for more information
- Taiwan folks, please check out the official store in Taiwan: https://www.goodsmile.info/zh/
Online Japanese Hobby Shops
There are many other online shops from Japan you can directly buy/pre-order from of-course. These are just some of the online Japanese shops (with global shipping) that I’ve often bought from, so it comes recommended.
Note: Please do not buy from bootleggers or scalpers selling at exorbitant prices. A slight mark-up is understandable (especially for out-of-print nendoroids) but not like over-exorbitant prices. Also, due to the immense popularity of Demon Slayer, its very likely that popular characters will get re-releases.
Figurarts Mini
A relatively affordable line of (super cute) figures that is yet another great gift to fans are Bandai’s Figurarts Mini line-up of Demon Slayer. ^ ^
Price Range: 2400yen to 3000 yen (before tax)
And the best part? All 9 pillars are now readily available and they are much more accessible than nendoroids (with their limited quantities)
One advantage that Figuarts Mini has over Nendoroids is the speed of character release and quantities are not as limited as Nendoroids.
Several of the villains and other characters have already been announced as well. You can be sure more will be coming.
Even though pre-orders might have ended on the official Bandai website for some characters, it can easily be found in your local anime goods store, online japanese hobby stores and even in some supermarts (e.g. Don Don Donki)
What are Figuarts Mini?
Figuarts Mini is a relatively young line from Bandai Tamashii Nations. These are palm-sized, super-deformed (chibi-fied) versions of popular anime/manga/game characters. A special hallmark feature of the Figuarts Mini figures are its brightly coloured “glittering eyes”.
To find out more about the difference between Nendoroids and Figuarts Mini, check out my Figuarts Mini VS Nendoroid: A Comparison Guide via Ishigami Senku (Dr Stone).
Where to buy them?
Official Premium Bandai Tamashii Nations Website
- Official Bandai Figuarts Mini Website (Japan)
- Premium Bandai Global Shops (Outside of Japan)
Bandai has set up official web-shops for several countries which can help to save shipping costs (sometimes), so do check out the global page for links!
Online Japanese Hobby Shops
Geeky Travels and Fandoms are not affiliated with these shops. These are just some of the online Japanese shops (with global shipping) that I’ve often bought from. There are many other online shops from Japan you can directly buy/pre-order from of-course.
Bandai Banpresto “Prize” Figurines
Another Demon Slayer Gift you can consider getting (for yourself!) are the Kimetsu no Yaiba figurines from Bandai’s Banpresto 「鬼滅の刃」 フィギュア-絆ノ装- line.
I’m including this in this gift guide because despite its relatively affordable price (it is one of the cheaper type of figurines in the market today), the quality of the figures are pretty good for its price point
I’m currently waiting for my orders of Sabito to arrive. Will update with photos once he’s arrived! ^ ^
Note: These are actually crane game prizes in Japan but quite a number of shops do sell these (especially the overseas anime goods shops), so chances are you might find these in-stocked in your local anime goods shops!
There are of-course many Demon Slayer figurines in the market right now, made by different companies and anime goods production companies. Which figurines have you bought? Let me know in the comments.
Gashapon Figurines
Gashapon (ガシャポン) or Gacchapon (ガチャポン) are next up on the list of possible Demon Slayer Gift to get for that special someone that is relatively more affordable than some of the other recommendations in this guide.
Gashapons are perhaps one of the more affordable figurines out there in the market now and are definitely great collectibles for anyone on a budget or just starting out collecting anime goods.
Price Range: 300 yen to 600 yen per capsule item (excluding shipping)
And as you can see from the photo above, the Demon Slayer series are really cute. There are a lot of different Gashapons you can try getting your hands on.
Note: Because of its affordability, buyers must understand that the quality of gashapon figures are not top-notch and there are likely to be imperfections, such as paint jobs and finishings. However, for its price point, most of the figurines are really pretty cute and not bad.
For more information on Gashapons and where you might be able to find them, check out these official websites.

- Japan: https://gashapon.jp/ (Demon Slayer special page here)
Demon Slayer Gift: Plushies
Next up on the list is … *drumrolls* PLUSHIES! ^ ^
Be it small, medium or large, there are tons of Demon Slayer plushies in different shape, size and texture you can choose from. Just pick one that you like that fit your budgets! ^ ^
My personal favourite of them all (so far) are the sitting “Chibi Plush Demon Slayer Plushies” (鬼滅の刃 Chibiぬいぐるみ) from Bandai.
Sabito is my favourite character in Demon Slayer so most of my Demon Slayer goods are of him and Giyuu. ^ ^
Who can resist these cute cuddly things? (I couldn’t) Just look at how cute this series of plushies are! 🙂 Not going to lie, I was really tempted to get all of them but as a responsible adult, I couldn’t. However, perhaps you could?
Note: These plushies are quite regularly re-stocked online. So if you see one which pre-orders are closed, don’t give up and just continue to watch and wait. I only managed to buy my Sabito and Giyuu plushie after the third opening of pre-orders.
Where can you buy them?
- AmiAmi
- Local anime good shops
Geeky Travels and Fandoms are not affiliated with these shops. These are just some of the online Japanese shops (with global shipping) that I’ve often bought from. There are many other online shops from Japan you can directly buy/pre-order from of-course.
Demon Slayer Gift: DVD/Blu-Ray
If you are feeling particularly generous (and why shouldn’t you? It’s the holiday season after all) and really want to treat yourself and/or a friend , you can consider getting the Demon Slayer anime special edition DVD/Blu-Ray sets for them.
Not going to lie, Japan Anime DVD/ Blu-ray sets are typically not cheap and can often run up to a few hundreds of dollars, inclusive of shipping costs. However, the price is justified by the absolutely gorgeous bonus items and packaging that they come in.
The Demon Slayer sets are no exception. And thanks to the global popularity of the series, we are seeing special editions of the anime sets in different countries! See the next section for more information on the different region Blu-Rays and DVDs.
So how about it, why not give a fan their very own collector’s DVD/Blu-Ray item? There are of course the cheaper regular sets that you can get too.
Note: Please make sure you have a player that can play the region of the anime dvd/blu-ray that you have bought.
Japan:
For the Japanese Blu-Rays, different shops will have different bonuses as well. You can check them all out at the Demon Slayer official Japanese website.
USA/Canada/Mexico Region:
For more information on the Blu-Ray Bonus items and where to order them, visit the official USA website here.
Demon Slayer Gift: Gaming Chairs!
Did you know that there are Demon Slayer themed gaming chairs that you can buy? If you didn’t, well now you know! ^ ^
Price: These chairs are retailing at SGD $549 per chair.
Gaming chairs would really make a unique and practical (albeit expensive) gift for that special someone.
These chairs are made and sold by a Singapore-based company, Royale Ergonomics. For more information on these chairs, please visit Royale Ergonomics website.
It’s really quite amazing how many different types of collaboration goods there are for Demon Slayer, isn’t it?
Note: These are not the same chairs that Lenovo made for a promotional giveaway in Japan back in 2019.
Demon Slayer Gift: Food!
Yes anime themed snacks, sweets, food is all the rage in Japan and thanks to online shopping and anime being more mainstream, you are likely to find some in your home country too! If not, there’s always online shopping!
Snacks
If you ever wondered how popular Demon Slayer is, look no further than the sheer variety of Demon Slayer themed snacks in the market today. Here are some examples of the snacks you might be able to buy for yourself and someone else!
Price Range: 100 yen to 600 yen per item (before tax)
Cup Noodles
Apart from snacks, there’s also a savoury option. Instant Noodles! ^ ^ This is a practical and yummy gift that you can consider. ^ ^ You can pair it with the Demon Slayer Cup Noodle stopper figurines for an even more yummy experience as well 🙂
Price Range: 250 yen onwards (before tax)
If you can’t find these snacks and food in your local super-marts or local anime goods shop, a possible workaround is to use forwarders. However, before you do so, please check if they can be imported into your country. You can find these cup noodles on Amazon Japan, while stocks last!
If you would like to find out more about forwarders and/or which forwarding service to use, do check out my guide: Geeky Goods Spotlight: Forwarder, Buying Service & Proxy Bidding (Anime Goods). Hope it’s useful to you! ^ ^
Ufotable Official Webshop
- Global Shop: https://global.ufotableweb.shop/
- Japan shop: https://webshop.ufotable.co.jp/
On September 25 2021, ufotable announced that they had opened up an international (English) shop selling their merchandises for the non-Japanese fans! I’m talking about art-prints, keychains, postcards, badges, acrylic stands, exclusive campaign items and so on.
As of now, the international shop is stocked with a limited variety of Demon Slayer goods. The official Japanese web-store has much more goods for sale.
However, as of December 2021, international shipping is only to the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. I’m confident that they will open up to shipping to more countries eventually.
Nevertheless, it is still worth it for non-Japanese fans to take a look at the Japanese webshop. As mentioned, the Japanese webshop has much more goods for sale. Unfortunately, they do not ship overseas. (This is actually quite common for Japan online shops that has a dedicated overseas page AND a Japanese page.)
A possible workaround is using a forwarder.
Check out my guide: Geeky Goods Spotlight: Forwarder, Buying Service & Proxy Bidding (Anime Goods) on all things you need to know about using a forwarding or proxy buying service . Hope the guide is useful to you! ^ ^
Demon Slayer Gift: Manga
Let’s go back to where it all started: the manga. ^ ^ This will definitely make a great gift to every Demon Slayer Fan.
It might be a little ironic, seeing how this is a blog post online, but I’m one of those people who still very much prefer to read my manga and comics with the physical copy in my hands. Plus, the manga (especially the collector’s sets) do look nice on the shelves.
There are a total of 23 volumes (the series ended in 2020) for the main series. As with most popular manga series, there are also official character books, spin-offs, side-stories and that expands the world of Demon Slayer.
Depending on your reading preferences, you can buy the manga in digital or physical form, in Japanese, English and Mandarin (Chinese) as well. There are many other different languages translated as well, but as I mainly read my manga in these 3 languages, I’ll share information on them.
You can of course visit your local bookstores (support local!) to get these manga, but just in case they do not stock all the volumes, here are some alternatives online platforms to get them:
Where to buy the Manga?
There are affiliated links in this section (Book Depository) where Geeky Travels and Fandoms might earn a small commission when you click on them and/or proceed to make a purchase. Clicking on the links has no cost to you (i.e. free). Please consider supporting the blog with these links if you can. Thank you!
For English translated version: Book Depository; Amazon
For Japanese volumes: Amazon Japan
If you read your manga in traditional chinese (like I do), the publisher is Tongli 東立 and the translated title is 『鬼滅之刃』
Note: I like to get my English books and Graphic Novels from Book Depository because they ship worldwide and more importantly, there’s free shipping ^ ^ Their selection is pretty good and packing usually is not bad. However, delivery may take some time though, depending on your country.
Special Mentions: Demon Slayer Themed Flights
If you happen to be in Japan or are planning for a trip to Japan in 2022, why not consider these special gifts and experiences? ^ ^
Yes, you read that right! There are Demon Slayer themed flights (airplanes) that you can book tickets for in 2022!
ANA Japan has a special collaboration with Demon Slayer and will be having not one but TWO themed airplanes from late January 2022! This special campaign will run for a year so there’s still plenty of time to plan that special trip on ANA! ^ ^
ANA has released a mock-up of how one of the themed airplanes will look like. The second airplane’s design will be released at a later date:
How cool is that? I personally have been to anime-themed cafes and hotels but not an airplane before. (This isn’t new to ANA by the way, they had the equally awesome star-wars themed flights in the past. Other airlines like EVA (Taiwan) had Hello-Kitty themed flights too)
Even if you weren’t able to fly on those themed flights, ANA is still having a year-long Demon Slayer Campaign where most domestic routes will have the following:
- For normal (economy) seats, your beverages will gets served in a Kimetsu no Yaiba designed paper-cup (admit it, you will probably ask to keep a dry cup, I know I would ^ ^ )
- Special inflight announcements featuring the Demon Slayer characters’ voices
- S1 of the TV Anime will be available in the in-flight entertainment system
- For the kids, they will get some special toys
Important Tip: If you are fortunate enough to book one of these flights, remember to enter the lottery to stand a chance to win yourself (and your flight partner)
For more information about this awesome and limited time collaboration, visit ANA website (Japanese):
Press Release: https://www.anahd.co.jp/group/pr/202111/20211115.html
Instructions on the Lottery of the special collaboration goods: https://www.ana.co.jp/ja/jp/domestic/promotions/kimetsu/
Special Mentions: Demon Slayer Cafe
Did you know that there are Demon Slayer themed cafes that you can go to in Japan?
If you plan your holiday visit dates right, you might very well be able to try to score a reservation for one of the cafes. Do note that the cafes are not all-year round (seasonal/certain dates) and you usually need to ballot for a reservation slot online. Always check the official cafe website for the cafe campaign dates!
As a huge fan of anime cafes, I can tell you that it’s always a lovely experience going for a themed cafe of your favourite series and characters.
I had the good fortune of visiting the ufotable x Demon Slayer cafe in Japan way back in 2019 (when S1 of the anime first aired on screen) and I had such a great time. ^ ^
You can read all about my cafe experience + some important information and tips on how to get reservations for the cafe here: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃) x Ufotable Cafe
For more information on the ufotable x Demon Slayer Cafes, please visit the official website.
Conclusion
And there you have it! You have reached the end of the Geeky Travels and Fandoms Demon Slayer Gift Guide.
Thank you for reading! Hopefully the guide has helped inspired your own gift-giving to your friends and yourself. I had a lot of fun putting together this list and I hoped you enjoyed reading it too.
It's really quite mind-boggling the amount of collaboration and different types of Demon Slayer goods and experiences fans can try to get their hands on since the anime first debuted back in 2019. It just goes to show how popular the series is globally.
So what will you be buying for that special someone? Let me know in the comments! ^ ^
